Kylee is a 16 year-old sophomore at
St. Ignatius College Preparatory who believes that “to make
a difference, you need to be involved…” and that she is!
She not only spends time each week cooking in her city’s soup
kitchen, she is a Senior Girl Scout working on her Gold Award (the
highest award in Girl Scouts), runs on her school’s track team,
and participates in her school’s radio station.
Because her academics always come first, she has been honored with
membership into Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY.) CTY
seeks students of the highest academic ability and provides challenging
educational opportunities. Through this, she has been able to travel
to the Yucatan Peninsula where she was able to study the Mayan Civilization
“up close and personal.”
Kylee considers dance to be her passion. She has danced since she
was four years old and is accomplished in tap, jazz, and hip-hop.
Always up for a new challenge, she has recently begun ballroom dancing.
Kylee loves to be active and is truly an outdoor enthusiast. In her
free time, she loves to hike, mountain bike, and run in the hills
around her home. She also enjoys snow-skiing, water-skiing, and skim-boarding.
In sunshine, rain, wind, or snow, you’ll find her enjoying the
great outdoors!
Her career goal is to become an orthodontist. “My friends don’t
see it in my future, but it’s something I’ve dreamed of
since I was in the third grade and got my first set of braces.”
She takes pride in being a Native Californian and is honored and excited
to be re presenting her state in the MISS TEEN USA pageant this August.. |
